THERE'S a new kid on Ballarat's accommodation block, and it's begging to be discovered.
Rich in history and oozing character, the Coach House is the kind of space you never want to leave.
A labour of love for husband-and-wife duo Amy and Dylan De Silva, the guest house is a work of contemporary elegance laden with the beauty of yesteryear.
According to Amy, a mother-of-two, designer and avid renovator, owning a guest house has always been a dream of hers.
"Once we discovered the house, we jumped at the opportunity," Amy says.
"We wanted a space for others to enjoy and discover first-hand what wonderful experiences Ballarat has to offer!"
"As experienced renovators and passionate about design and architecture, we love to embrace new challenges and grow from the journey."
Established circa 1875, the Coach House is a true piece of Ballarat history. The renovated space still boasts its original period features, and is truly a place for admirers of architecture, heritage and luxury.
You'll even see some of Amy's very own art works adorning the walls - further adding to the creative energy of the space.
Sleeping eight guests, the Coach House is the perfect space for a group gathering - whether it be a girls' getaway, a family escape, or a romantic retreat.
"With the interior designed for luxe living, we’ve included all the finer touches with the highest quality furnishings and we provide our guests with a relaxing and comfortable stay," Amy says.
Born and bred as a country girl, there's no denying Amy is a lover of beauty, calm and serenity.
It's these very elements that have been injected into the Coach House, and which are experienced during one's stay.
"We're excited for each one of our guests to enjoy what we have created - to unwind and escape the busyness of everyday life in an idyllic location, central to all the town’s attractions."
