Ballarat's iconic Sovereign Hil has been named Australia's best Major Tourist Attraction, so if you're yet to visit the outdoor museum, you're missing out.
The award was announced at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, with the major attraction taking out the gong for a second year running, coming out ahead of finalists including Sydney's Bridge Climb and Kakadu National Park.
Announced in Darwin, the prestigious awards recognised Sovereign Hill's efforts in delivering a gold-class tourism experience for visitors both locally and overseas.
In 2015/16, Sovereign Hill recorded more than 750,000 admissions, making it one of the largest attractions in regional Victoria.
This is the fourth time the attraction has won the National Award, having received the title of Major Tourist Attraction in 2015, 1993 and 2005.
