The Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival is celebrating its most important act, the music, with a wonderful combination of International and Australian Rockabilly and Rock ‘n’ Roll bands.
Bands from the USA, UK and right across Australia will make their way to Ballarat for the festival which kicks off today, Thursday 9th February.
International bands featured at the Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival will be the Hillbilly Hellcats, a renowned Rockabilly trio from the USA, and Craig Shaw from the UK with his very cool blend of Rockabilly and Blues Roots.
Australia has an amazing talent pool of Rockabilly and Rock ‘n’ Roll bands including much loved 70’s band Ol’55 featuring Frankie J Holden and Wilbur Wilde who will be performing live in the Ballarat Mining Exchange on Friday 10 February 2017.
Other Australian bands performing at the festival include Cherry Divine, Jive Cats and Little Billy from Queensland, The Lincolns from South Australia, No Brakes from Sydney, plus The Strays, Rockin’ Radiogram, Louis King & The Liars Klub and Rosie & The Mighty Kings from Victoria. Ballarat Rockabilly trio, No Limitz Trio, will also be playing.
Bands will perform over 4 days and nights on Lydiard Street, within the venues between Mair and Sturt Streets.
All street activities at the Ballarat Beat Rockabilly Festival, including live music, dancing, trade stalls and the car display, are free to enjoy whilst the venue events, such as band performances and burlesque shows, are ticketed.
