FIND out how you can stimulate all five of your senses at the annual Pyrenees Unearthed Wine + Food Festival - set to take place on April 21.

Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Pyrenees Wine Region, the one-day event brings together a unique blend of wine, food and music.

Here's how you can stimulate all five of your senses during the festival.

The entire festival is an opportunity for you to savour the award-winning wines of the Pyrenees Wine Region. Located along the banks of the Avoca River, the festival will feature a dozen local wineries, offerings from the region's craft breweries and cideries, as well as a showcase of local artisan food producers.

This year's festival will feature several masterclasses running throughout the day. Hear from leading local winemakers and see exactly what makes the Pyrenees a perfect wine region. But don't forget to book your spot to avoid missing out.

Savour the rich and fragrant reds and elegant white and sparkling wines of the day. The Pyrenees also has a growing reputation as one of the great regions for Cabernet Sauvignon in the world, and you will have the chance to vote for your favourite on the day in the Peoples' Choice Award.

Find your spot at the banks and enjoy the live music on-site from the likes of nine-piece soul band Butterfunked, indie blues artist Anna Oliphant Wright and folk musician Peggy Hills.

Feel what it's like to be removed from the hustle and bustle of big city life and make a weekend of it by staying at one of the many Pyrenees accommodation providers. Nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees wineries, these spots will give you the chance to relish in the surrounding calmness and serenity.

The festival will also feature a range of kids activities where the children can tune into their senses and create works of art inspired by the natural environment.
